Women's T20 World Cup

The 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup will be the tenth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup, a biennial Twenty20 International tournament played by women’s national teams and organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is scheduled to be hosted by England in 2026, matches will take place all over the UK.

Sir David Attenborough's 100th Birthday

Sir David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday will be on 8th May 2026. The broadcaster and naturalist first appeared on our screens more than 70 years ago. Some have suggested marking his birthday by promoting environmental action. There is talk of having a national bank holiday to mark the 100th birthday of this lengendary environmentalist.

Commonwealth Games

Around 3000 athletes will compete for 215 gold medals at the Commonwealth Games next summer in Glasgow. The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games will be held from July 23 to August 2, with 74 nations and territories participating in 10 sports, including 6 Para sports.

Agatha Christie Exhibition

A major exhibition on the celebrated writer of crime stories, Dame Agatha Christie otherwise known as the “Queen of Crime”. She is the best selling author of all time, surpassed only by the Bible and William Shakespeare having written a staggering 66 crime novels.
